More about Ian.
Ian Capp is assistant coach with the Misericordia University men’s and women’s volleyball teams.
He was a three-time AVCA All-American and a two-time NJAC Player of the Year while playing at Kean University. He was named NJAC Setter of the Year three times and ranks second in NCAA Division III history in career services aces.
He led the Cougars to a pair of NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, including a trip to the 2018 Elite 8. He was a two-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection.
Ian now plays in the National Volleyball Association (NVA) for Team Freedom out of New Jersey and helped Team Freedom achieve a perfect regular season record (10-0). As a result, Ian was unanimously selected to play in the NVA All-Star game in 2022.
Ian's most notable wins on the grass tour include being the 2019, 2021, and 2022 Men's Open winner of the Susquehanna Smash, 2022 Men's Open Runner-Up at The Pottstown Rumble, and he has finished #1 in the country in the AVP Grass Grand Prix for the past 2 years and has been in the top 5 since 2019.
