Girls Tryouts

We are excited to announce tryouts for our 2025 SandYard Travel team.

This will be our Elite players program with limited spots.

DATES: Wednesday– Friday 6:30- 9pm, Feb 12 – 14^th

*Players only need to attend two tryout dates to be evaluated

LOCATION: Weather Determined either on the Sand In Doylestown or Indoors in Montgomeryville

AGES: 6th- 12th graders

Format: Tryouts will be in a “clinic-type” format to evaluate athletes coachability, athleticism, and overall volleyball IQ.

FEE: $50 

 

Club Commitment:

Cost $2500 - this cost covers the uniform package (2 tanks with name and grad year, hoodie), Home Tournaments, Training April – Aug.

 

Spring (April - May) and Summer (Jun - Aug)

IF still playing indoor club vb, must attend a minimum of 1 practice a week

IF not playing indoor club must attend a minimum of 2 practices a week

We prefer for you to train 3x/wk if available but understand if it is not possible every week.

Must play in a minimum of 2 Major events for the club; we try to play in 4-6 events a year, exception can be made for indoor conflicts. Each AVP/USAV event will be an additional registration charge to cover team registration fee and coaching expenses. (last year avg. cost was $150 per event). Player travel expenses are not included.

In addition to AVP/USAV events, we would like each athlete to compete in 1 additional tournament a month. You may choose your partner and event so that it fits your schedule. We will of course be offering tournaments at our home facility throughout the year.

Attend USAV nationals (JULY in Virginia Beach), if not qualified, then the athlete will represent the club in the AVP event.

All USAV events will be partnered by the club coaches. You are allowed to play with other athletes, from other clubs, at all other events and competitions.

6-8 Future athletes (6th, 7th and 8th graders)- Head Coach- Mel Cozza

6-8 Club athletes (8th, 9th,10^th and 11th graders) - Head Coach- Andrew Dentler

12-14 Open athletes (10th, 11th, 12th graders) - Head Coach- Andrew Dentler

We will take more athletes if interest and competitive levels allows. Some athletes will be asked to play for multiple groups.
